Exposure of your job experience and qualifications on the Internet also exposes much of your personal information to millions of people. If you’re not careful, this information can be used in ways that put you at risk – identify theft is just one of those ways. Following some safety rules in order to protect your privacy is well worth the time and investment it takes. Using the internet wisely can enhance your job search, but you need to do it in a way that protects you.

And you need to remember that once you post your resume online, it is possible that your current employer will see it too, so be prepared to respond if questions arise!

Why Minneapolis is a Great Place to Work

Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota. The city is located on both banks of the Mississippi river. Saint Paul is right across from Minneapolis, hence the name “Twin Cities,” this makes it the 15th largest metropolis area in the US. The population of Minneapolis is 380,000 people roughly. The city is rich in water and has over 20 lakes and wetlands.

Minneapolis’s economy is based in finance, commerce, trucking and rail industries, and jobs in healthcare. This is a great place to live and work if you work in the business industry, trucking, or health care. Smaller industries in Minneapolis are; publishing, milling food processing, graphic arts, insurance, and high technology.

Predictions for San Antonio’s Economy

Although no one can predict the future, economists certainly try. Thankfully their methods are more reliable than the average crystal ball. Taking recent data and extending it’s effects over a given period of time, barring any financial or real estate catastrophes, these individuals are able to come up with a rough estimate for the economic future of a city.

According to Waco economist M. Ray Perryman, approximately 85,400 jobs in San Antonio will be created within the next five years. At this time there are 899,500 jobs in the city. Perryman’s report states that, based on economic projections, 984,900 San Antonio jobs should exist by 2012, which shows a compound annual growth rate of 1.83 percent. Currently San Antonio’s unemployment rate is below the national and state average, with only 3.6 percent of the city’s residents not working.

Layoffs Making Impact on Dallas Employment

As the housing market continues it’s less than desirable state, working American’s are effected. The first one’s to bare the burn were real estate agents who live almost solely off of commissions earned through the sale of new and existing properties.

Next to follow were those employed by mortgage and lending firms. As fewer individuals sought to purchase new homes, many lenders reduced their staff numbers in hopes of cutting corners in an effort to be more profitable. Also effected by the housing slump have been construction workers and home manufactures.

Achieving Zen in the Workplace

Achieving success in the workplace more often than not has to do with one’s ability to live up to the bosses’ expectations. Each employer is a distinct individual, valuing different traits in their employees. Whereas one may think highly of staff members who question set ways of handling different office place issues in a constant search for efficiency, other’s prefer a strict adherence to guidelines.

Prior to actually recruiting and then working with the individual it can seem impossible to gauge the qualities they favor in staff members. This can make resume writing and pre-employment background checks and interviews more nerve-racking than necessary.
