As the housing market continues it’s less than desirable state, working American’s are effected. The first one’s to bare the burn were real estate agents who live almost solely off of commissions earned through the sale of new and existing properties.
Next to follow were those employed by mortgage and lending firms. As fewer individuals sought to purchase new homes, many lenders reduced their staff numbers in hopes of cutting corners in an effort to be more profitable. Also effected by the housing slump have been construction workers and home manufactures.
