In the heat of a job search, many people find it necessary to use several different search engines. This method is usually more effective due to the fact that many employers prefer one site over another. By using multiple search engines, one is able to find a wider variety of listings. Despite the effectiveness of this method, it is most certainly time consuming.

Most job search engines operate by requiring a subscription price, usually from the company in need of new employees. These sites only list available positions from companies that have an account with the site. This results in a scattering of job listings.

Such sites as Indeed.com have eliminated this problem for American users. However, until recently people searching London jobs were stuck searching a myriad of websites in hope of finding jobs in London. On July 17th Indeed.com announced the launch of their new site, Indeed.co.uk. This search engine is comprehensive and allows UK users the ability to view job listings from multiple websites, major job posting boards, top newspapers, and even those only placed on the individual companies web page.

In a related field, accountancy, salaries range from about 15.000 £ per year for a junior payroll clerk for instance to 55.000 £ per year for a professional experienced accountant.
