Although no one can predict the future, economists certainly try. Thankfully their methods are more reliable than the average crystal ball. Perryman’s report states that, based on economic projections, 984,900 San Antonio jobs should exist by 2012, which shows a compound annual growth rate of 1.83 percent. San Antonio Jobs

The September unemployment statistics for San Antonio, Texas show that there was a small rise in the number of individuals who were unable to find work during the month. According to a report released by Alamo WorkSource, these and other figures showed that the area’s economy was beginning to stabilize. When the unemployment rate’s only small rise is looked at alongside the fact that 5,700 new San Antonio jobs were created in the month of September, one can see that the jobless rate increase was most likely a result of population growth.
